This is my pond. It gives me so much joy. Last weekend I wanted to clean it and the fountain was sluggish. I needed to get it moving so there would be enough air for my fish. I felt it necessary that I go IN the pond. It was a sight to see! I had goggles on and in I went, swimming in circles. I am sure the fish got a laugh…it seems perfectionism knows no bounds. Not really perfectionism but love. I love my fish. I got it all straight and had fun being a kid in a pond. MY very own pond.

Who doesn’t need a drink on a beautiful tray? When I saw these deep purple lacquered trays with elephants, I about fell over! So sleek and cool (in my humble opinion). Kids are back in school, things SHOULD slow down a little, so have some friends over, “prissy” up the tray and make everyone feel special. These trays are beautiful!

We were very fortunate to be featured in the March 2010 issue of Southern Living Magazine. Muffie shared her thoughts on “the essential elements that make a porch undeniably Charleston.” We have received many calls and emails about the color of the home in the article. I thought I would share them with you. The owner of the home prefers to use Benjamin Moore paints. The walls are Grant Beige, the trim is Sail Cloth and the shutters are Trout Gray.

Q: I have an extensive basket collection but am not sure what to do with them. Can you please offer some suggestions?

A: Baskets are so functional and can be used all over the house, inside and out. They can be waste paper baskets, clothes hampers, hold wood, umbrellas or wrapping paper. They are also a great place to store throws in a living room or bedroom. Upgrade your potted plants and create a whole new look. The possibilities are endless. Have fun!
