Holiday parties are around the corner. I love taking wine but, in the past, I’ve had trouble finding a cute tag to tie on the bottle. Thanks to Tara Guerard and her letterpress studio, Lettered Olive, I now have one. The surcie tags come 6 to a tin and have the most chic designs. You can pick up a set for yourself or a friend at ESD. Don’t wait too long!

The latest issue of Garden & Gun features Southern Women: The Writers, Artists, Musicians, and Designers Who are Redefining the Southern Belle. One of our favorite artists, Sally King Benedict, was included! We started carrying her work earlier this summer and it has been well received. ”Benedict’s vibrant abstracts have drawn comparisons to Cy Twombly and Mark Rothko, but she’s most influenced by innovative females like Georgia O’Keeffe and Sonia Delaunay, the French painter who applied her geometric vision to everything from textiles to photography.”

Sally King Benedict is an abstract artist whose work has quickly caught the eye of critics and collectors alike. She has been named An Emerging Artist On the Rise and One to Watch by New York’s Phillips de Pury’s Art Expert website. Sally’s vibrant and sophisticated work has has been featured in various publications across the Southeast and already warranted solo shows in Charleston and Atlanta.

We are so excited to have Sally’s work at ESD! Her pieces compliment our store. Below are some pictures from her recent art show during Spoleto.
