Brother Moses

Everybody deserves a friend like Brother Moses.  This deserves a very long blog.
I just got a call and all he said was “Where the hell are ya?” and he said it with such demand that I responded with “Who the hell IS this?”  He’s Brother Moses, aka one of my favorite friends in the Bahamas.  [...]

A dose of my own medicine

Ok.  I have to take some of my own advice…Dude, put the blackberry down and enjoy the view!

Relax

OK…dude…There are a few things that should not be done at Nippers and working on your laptop, drinking a beer with that view? Close your laptop and relax a little….you’re in the Bahamas, mon.

Shell Island

One of my most favorite places in the world is a deserted island in the Abacos called shell island. I don’t think that is its real name but that is what I call it.  It is covered with shells and depending on the weather, the tides, and the other people who have come to it, you can find real treasures. Only two?

If you haven’t been to Nippers then you are missing something sooo fun. Have a nipper drink for me but know ahead of time after two you are you on your own!

Island manicures

My daughter has become the new manicurist of our trip. Here is the orange example but I highly recommend the red with white dots…it makes you look like you have strawberries on your hands. Summer is for not taking yourself too seriously!

Bahamas treat

what a hummingbird sees
what I put in my hair
what only lasts one day
a tropical hibiscus for you from me

Bird food

At my house down here I have found that a half of an orange will bring in the birds. I haven’t tried this back home but I’d bet it would work. Pretty, though, no matter what.

Unexpected beauty

Who needs the red,red rose?

A storm is a brewin’

We went to lunch at Pete’s and a storm blew up.  There was a chorus of “should I stay or should I go now…” We shot the gap and all was well.
