Simple is so good.
I gave a fundraiser to raise awareness for malaria in Uganda and when I set the tables it was important to be certain that guests could see each other over the flowers. I chose these little bar glasses that I bought in a lot last time I was in Europe on a buy. They are [...]
Is heaven purple?
The George V in Paris has an amazing spa. Once I flew into Paris early in the morning and went directly to the spa. Ok ok. I know that is pretty decadent but hey it had been a rough year. I had a blood clot post a knee surgery and I was going to treat myself. So…back to the [...]
Paris memories…
Walking in the Marais district in Paris I came upon the Esteban shop. It is a beautiful boutique with the best smelling candles and scents ever! Each year I make the pilgrimage to buy more candles. This year I got the bright idea to carry them at my store…duh…that was easy. My favorite scent is [...]

Crabbing on the dikes of a rice field. I am told to pick the crab, get some softened cream cheese, pat the crab into it, add a little lemon and cocktail sauce and “cracker up baby”…. Fresh from my crabbing adventure!
Sometimes last is better
Bike riding I saw an “alligator” in the woods! Or maybe it was a wooden alligator. See……if I hadn’t been the last in line on the orange bike I might have missed it!
A little help from mother nature
The colors here are amazing. Again, every paint color you need, for whatever canvas you hold, is right here in nature. Fabric, paint, wood stain, texture blending….it is all here. You just have to be focused to see it. Take your eyes and see the photo from the perspective of the color choices God has put [...]
Slowing down…
Off on a bike ride. I have the slow orange bike. It is good for me to be forced to move slowly. I go too fast so much of the time. I see more when I slow down.
An alley of oaks
We arrived at dusk. The road was an alley of oaks just like in the movies only my girlfriend was ahead on her mountain bike awaiting us. I got out of the truck and hopped on the back of her bike. I left my husband and children and became a child myself. We rode together [...]
